ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING
Annual General Meetings are where the group makes its big decisions and decides who's going to run things. Our Annual General Meeting is usually in January at Lees Street Church Hall. Everyone is welcome to attend and have their voice heard.
Although some people think that an AGM is dull and boring.....it is very neccesary!! Without an AGM we would not have a committee to run the Society for the next year!

ELECTING A COMMITTEE
The committee is made up of paid members of the Society. The President and Vice President are decided by the Church but all of the other positions are voted in. Check out the Committee Page to see what the role entails.
Here's a quick guide to how we elect the committee, and how to stand...
Can I vote by e-mail or tell someone else my vote if I can't make it to the meeting?
The best thing to do is put your vote in writing and give it to a member of the Society attending the meeting or to the President. Your vote will be cast by someone else on your behalf.
How do I stand for committee?
A list will be put up in the hall at rehearsals where you can put your name against the poistion you would like to run for. This must be supported by another member of the society who signs next to your name. You request a copy of the form via e-mail.
Which positions can I stand for?
At the moment, you can stand for:
If you are the only person standing for the particular post you have selected, then you will be automatically elected.
Sometimes if more than one person is standing for the position you may be asked to say a few words about why you would like that position on the Committee.
